 TOEFL (ETS code: 1832-02. Applicants who score below 600 total or below 55 in any subsection on the paper-and-pencil TOEFL will not be considered for admission and must retake the test before submitting an application)

ADMISSION CRITERIA
According to the admissions office, your GMAT scores, work experience, essays, college GPA, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular activities are all considered equally. The interview is strongly recommended, but not required. Notes the school, “All of the above are considered equally. We have no cutoffs on GPA or GMAT scores.” Applicants are notified of a decision following each of three rounds: December 1, January 16, and March 15.

ESSAY QUESTIONS
1. Why are you seeking an M.B.A. or I.M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business? What do you hope to experience and contribute? What are your plans and goals after you receive your degree? (750 words maximum)
2. What are two attributes of your character that make you unique? How do you expect these attributes to make an impact on the GSB and your classmates? (300 words maximum)
3. If you could pick three guests for a formal dinner, who would they be and why would you choose them? (300 words maximum)
4. For I.M.B.A. applicants only: Describe a recent international issue or event that has negatively affected the business or economic climate of a particular region of the world. How would you address this issue? What are the implications of your approach? (750 words maximum)
5. If there is further information that you believe would be helpful to the admissions committee, please feel free to provide it. (All applicants)
