Luxor is divided by the Nile River into two parts: on the right side is the “city of the living” (its population lived here), and on the left – the “city of the dead”, where the funerary temples and tombs are located. You will see the Colossi of Memnon, the majestic open-air palaces – the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor, as well as the sacred lake, where the priests performed ancient rites. The Temple of Luxor is considered one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
