Overview
The following items can be brought into the Seychelles duty-free: 200 cigarettes or 250g of tobacco products (over 18s); 2 liters of alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of more than 16% and 2 liters of alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of less than 16% (persons aged 18 and over); 200 ml of perfume and eau de toilette; Items of daily use up to a value of SR 5,000 for travelers aged 18 and over (up to a value of SR 3,000 for travelers under 18 years of age).
Import Restrictions
A license is required for importing weapons (including tear gas, knives, brass knuckles, pyrotechnic articles, etc.), drugs and medical preparations, as well as unprocessed food, fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants, plant seeds and the like. More information is available from Countryaah.com.

Autodial Long Distance Service. Telephone, fax and telegram services are provided by SEYTELS/Cable and Wireless Ltd., Francis Rachel Street, Victoria, Mahé. Phone cards are also available there. Public telephones are available in most areas of the Inner Islands.

GSM 900. The telephone network consists of two GSM networks. Network operators are Cable & Wireless (website: www.cws.sc) and Airtel Telecom Seychelles (website: www.airtel.sc).

The main post office is in Victoria. Airmail items are emptied at 3 p.m. on weekdays and at 12 p.m. on Saturdays; Airmail to Europe takes about a week to arrive. Post office hours: Mon-Fri 08:00-15:00, Sat 08:00-12:00. There is a post office on Praslin and La Digue. International couriers are based in central Victoria.
