Overview
The following items can be imported duty-free into the Turks and Caicos Islands (persons aged 18 and over): 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 100 cigarillos; 1L spirits and 2L wine; 50 g perfume or 0.25 l eau de toilette.

International direct dialing. The communications network is operated by Cable & Wireless (WI) Ltd. operated. All calls are subject to a 10% tax. Public card phones are located on all islands.
Mobile phone
GSM 850. Cellular network operated by Cable & Wireless West Indies Ltd. (Turks & Caicos). Mobile phones can be rented on site.
Internet
Main providers: Cable & Wireless (Internet: www.tciway.tc or www.tcimall.tc). Internet access for the public is available from Internet kiosks located on the islands (e.g. at the airport) and at CompTCI and The Computer Guy offices. There is an internet café in Ports of Call.
Post office
The main post office is on Grand Turk. Branch offices are located on South Caicos, Salt Cay and Providenciales. Post office opening hours: Mon-Thu 08.00-16.30, Fri 08.00-16.00. Stamps are available in the shops where postcards can be bought. Hotel receptions accept letters for a tip of approximately US$1. Airmail shipments take about 4 weeks to Europe.
