ADMISSION CRITERIA
The admissions office considers your work experience to be most important; more than 85 percent of students have more than one year of significant work experience. After that, in descending order, they consider your GMAT scores, college GPA, essays, and letters of recommendation. Applicants are invited to present projects, portfolios, CDs, theses, and the like for review. Because of the quantitative components of the curriculum, applicants are advised to have completed a college-level calculus course. Writes the school, “The admissions program is client-oriented. An applicant can track his or her application through a 1-800-MBA-UIUC number.” Decisions are made on a rolling admissions basis. Applicants are notified of a decision two to three weeks from receipt of the completed application. Wait listed students are notified of a spot by June 15.
